Temporary Sanitary Facilities: Provisions of ORS 654.150 apply to this project. <br />The General Contractor shall be responsible for all costs incurred, pursuant <br />thereto. Provide and maintain an adequate number of facilities for the use of all <br />persons employed on the work during construction. Provide enclosed, <br />weatherproof facilities with heat as required. <br />vi. Temporary Fire Suppression Equipment: Provide extinguisher equipment of <br />adequate capacity to extinguish fires in the combustible material on the job site. <br />Maintain fire extinguishers in working condition with current inspection certificate <br />attached to each extinguisher. <br />vii. Temporary Barricades: Provide temporary barricades and waming lights to <br />protect pedestrians and vehicles during construction operations. <br />viii. Temporary Field Offices: Provide 8' x 20' or larger temporary office at project <br />site for duration of job. Provide windows, doors with locks, lighted table, racks <br />for drawings, insulation, heat and telephone with outside gong. Keep clear <br />enough for job conferences. <br />14. Section 01600, Material and Equipment: <br />a. Materials: <br />i. Furnish items new and free from defects; of size, make, type and quality <br />specified or acceptable substitute. <br />ii. Component parts of an assembly need not be the product of a single <br />manufacturer unless otherwise indicated. <br />iii. Capacities and equipment sizes and dimensions shown or specified are <br />minimum unless otherwise indicated. <br />b. Meet the detailed requirements indicated in the various sections and provide products <br />and equipment suitable for the installation shown. Products and equipment not meeting <br />all specified requirements will not be accepted, even though specified by name along with <br />other manufacturers. <br />c. Unless otherwise indicated, pertorm work in accord with manufacturer's <br />recommendations for BEST results. Do not omit any preparatory step or installation <br />procedure unless specifically modified or exempted by the Contract Documents. <br />15. Section 01640, Substitutions and Product Options: <br />a. Contractor's Options: <br />i. For products specified only by reference standards, select any product meeting <br />standards by any manufacturer. <br />ii. For products specified by naming products or manufacturers, select any product <br />and manufacturer named or submit request, as required for substitution, for any <br />product not specifically named. <br />b. Substitutions: <br />i. Refer to Instructions to Bidders for substitutions during bidding. <br />ii. After date of Contract, Architect, at their option, may consider formal requests <br />from Contractor for substitution of products in place of those specified when <br />submitted in accord with the requirements of this section. <br />iii.
