regarding rea.soning for the change from a P 1 to P2 level much earlier in the process. Also with
the new numbers on de-watering and using a bathtub approach that were not included before
~ would have added up to $1 million in cost. MNIDC has been given direction that the project will
not proceed until there is a 100% confidence level with the budget. Concerns were expressed
regazding Pence/Kelly obtaining bid pricing now to get a fix on the shell cost and then repeating
this exercise in a couple more weeks for the GMP.
R.G. stated that MNIDC has been hired as county and transit's exclusive agent. If they have a
request for information, it should be provided in the best way possible. M1VIDC will provide the
format so all team members will be talking the same "language". NIl~IDC will work towards
identifying that all items are covered in the budget and there azen't any holes. They will provide
the specs and format for information to be provided to ensure that all team members are on the
same page. When information is provided to MNIDC, make sure that backup documenta, tion is
provided as well to explain what went into determining the information supplied. MNIDC has
been asked to get contracts on track and get the fmal issues resolved to plug up holes in any of the
contracts. Our fmal concern is the reliability of numbers. Pence/Kelly was told not to carry a
contingency in their numbers. The project will collectively decide on the contingency portion of
the budget to avoid any duplication.
The mechanical and electrical are still evolving and being developed. The documents on
standards will help. The drawings and scope documents will define areas for the subcontractors.
When we can qualify numbers to a certain set of plans that will give us a starting place.
Structural is a little further along. Leonazd will check to see what can be done to get mechanical
~, and electrical on a quicker pace. The mechanical meeting scheduled for ne~ Thursday, will be
moved to Monday instead to provide information to Pence/Kelly as soon as possible.
Meeting adjourned.
