4.1 Personnel <br />~"' CONTRACTOR is solely responsible for the provision of and satisfactory work performance of all <br />employees as described by contract or any reasonable performance standard established by the <br />DISTRICT, and shall be solely responsible for payment of all employees' and/or subcontractors' wages <br />and benefits. <br />4.2 Drivers and Driver Training <br />CONTRACTOR shali supply a sufficient number of properly trained and qualified personnel to operate <br />the equipment and to provide the CherryLift services required. <br />CONTRACTOR is responsible for ensuring that each operator is properly acquainted with the <br />requirements of the program and his/her responsibilities as a driver. <br />1. Drivers who operate vehicles with 16 or more seats must possess a valid Oregon State Class C <br />Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement. Drivers operating vehicles with <br />less than 16 seats must possess a valid Oregon Drivers License. <br />2. Drivers must be given and pass a pre-employment drug test. <br />3. Drivers shall receive training in a drug and alcohol program and in the effects of drug use and <br />indicators of drug use. <br />4. New drivers shall be fully briefed about the transportation program, reporting forms, vehicle <br />operation and the geographic area in which they will operate their vehicles. <br />5. Before passengers are carried, each driver shall be road tested with each kind of vehicle he/she <br />will drive. <br />6. Drivers shall be trained to use any special equipment installed on their vehicles, such as <br />wheelchair lifts, and or finro-way radios. <br />7. Within the first six months of employment, drivers should successfully complete an approved <br />course in the first aid training, including training in the use of CPR and will maintain CPR <br />certification with a refresher course every year. <br />8. Drivers shall be trained in passenger assistance techniques appropriate to the clientele. <br />9. Drivers shall receive at least an annual briefing which covers changes in the transportation <br />program reporting forms and vehicle operation, including the operation of special equipment. <br />10. Drivers shall receive training that would enable them to understand the special population they are <br />serving; and <br />11. Drivers shall receive training in the use of a fire extinguisher. <br />Records must be maintained for all drivers to verify that training has been received. <br />~ <br />113 <br />CHERRYLIFT CONTRACT AGREEMENT #1296.
