The proposed site was deveioped as an urban use over 75
years ago, .and has aEready been disturbed through sev~ral previous
construction activities. As a result, the State Historic Presenration Office
does not consider the site to represent an archaeologically sensitive or
significant area.
t 't . BlOLOC:Y
No significant impacts on biofogicai resources are expected as a
consequence of the proposed project. There are no identified threatened or
endangered species either iisted or propased for Iisting in relation to either
the federal or State of Oregon Endangered Species Acts like[y to be impa~ted
by the proposed project. There is no designated criticaf habitat anywhere
near tF~e project area. There is no impact expected on any fsh or wildlife
resource.
'! 2. ENERGY
Energy will be consumed in the constre~ction of the project and for the
continued operation of vansit vehic[es us[ng the transit center. As there wilf
be na significant increase in the number of buses converging at the transfer
site, no s+gnificant energy related impacts related to transit operations are
anticipated. Since the project mere[y relocates existir~g transitltraffic
operational pattems one b[ock north ofi their current location, the project wilE
not likely affECt vehicular patCems, volumes, or speeds to tf~e extent of
significantly affecting energy consumption.
13. GEOLOGY
No significant impacts on geology are anticipated as a result of the proposed
project. Mutti-staried structures current[y exist upon the site. No significant
geological conditions such as soft soi[s, embankment drainage problems,
I~nd siide proc[ivities, ar earthquake hazards are known to exist that would
impact the proposed project
14. SOCtOECONUMICS
No significant negative sacioeconomic impacts are associated with the
proposed project. The County has an approved schedufe for relocating the
remaining residen-tiai tenants in the County-owned structures. Overa[I, the
proje~t wi[I likely improve the socioecortomic characteristics of the block and
the adjacent area.
