The project is also consistent with Salem's Local Comprehensive Land <br />Use Ptan, Transportation Systems P(an (TSP), and RiverfrontlDowntown <br />Core Area Master Plan_ By impraving efificiency, convenience and safety for <br />transit patrons. the project wilf positiveiy contribute to the achievement of <br />federai (ISTEA}, state (Oregon Transportation Plan; Transportation Planning <br />Rule~, regional (RTSP) and local goa[s and objectives related to balancing <br />modal efficiency and increased transit use. <br />PROPERTY ACQUISITION AND RELOCATI011iS <br />There are no sigr~if~cant impacts associated wrth property acquisition for the <br />project. 85°~ of the block is already in County owrtership. The County has <br />a Board-appro~ed schedule for relocating the remaining residentiaf tenants in <br />the County-ownecf structure. <br />Acquisition and relocation activities will be conducted in accordance with <br />procedures proscribed in the federai Uniform Reloca~ion Act ofi 7 970. <br />TRAF~IC 1'RANSIT OPERATIONS. and PEDESTRlAi1tS <br />No significant impacts to traffic, transit operations, or pedestrian movements <br />are anticipated with this project. <br />The uansit operation wi[1 be similar to that already operating at the interim <br />facility one-half block south of the proposed site. No signiftcant increase in <br />the number or routing of transit lines using the center is anticipated with the <br />proposed project. <br />
