Coordinate the work for this Contract with other construction operations as directed by Owner or <br />Owner's Representative. Including the access to the Project, scheduling of utility interruptions, <br />construction vehicle access and imt~ation, scheduling of traffic and the use of roadways. <br />1.7 USE OF ROADWAYS <br />A. For hauling, use only established public roads as indicated. When necessary to cross curbing, <br />sidewalks, or similar construction, they must be protected by well-constructed bridges. <br />1. S PROGRESS CLEANING <br />A. Maintain Work in progress in a clean and orderly fashion on the basis of continuous daily <br />maintenance. Protect Work in progress and adjoming work as necessary to ensure it is without <br />damage nor deterioration at time of final acceptance. <br />B. Waste Material and Rubbish: Collect and dispose of daily. Do not permit waste to accumulated <br />except when collected into containers specifically designed to safely contain waste. Handle <br />hazardous and unsanitary waste separately. Dispose of waste matenal in a lawful manner. <br />1. Collected Waste: Not held on site longer the 5 days. <br />C. Debris and Waste Materials Produced as a Consequence of the Work: Recovered for recycling and <br />reuse to the maximum extent practical. Review recycling and reuse potential for practicality and <br />cost effectiveness. <br />1. Personnel Instruction: Contractor shall instruct tradespersons, mechanics and other workers <br />regarding the location of containers for source separation of debris and required procedures for <br />resource processing and avoidance of contamination of the contents. <br />D. Unless Otherwise Acceptable Source Separate and Recycle the Following: <br />1. Wood: Carefully, dismantled and recycled or sold. <br />2. Metal: Recycled, including sheet metal, mechanical equipment, piping, fasteners, and related <br />accessories and components. <br />3. Asphalt and Concrete: Crush and otherwise process as necessary for reuse or recycle. <br />4. Gypsum Boards: Recycled. <br />1.9 PROTECTION OF EXISTING UTILITIES <br />A. Traffic Surface Protection: Provide as necessary and as directed to prevent damage to concrete, <br />asphalt, and masonry pavements; streets, walkways, drives and parlang lots. Repair damaged <br />surfaces at no expense to the Owner. <br />B. Temporary Enclosures: Protect the Work from exposure, to weather, and demolition activities. <br />Enclose areas where temporary heat is needed. Coordinate enclosures with construction <br />processes, prevent dangerous conditions and effects. <br />1. Close openings through the floor, roof decks and other horizontal surfaces with substantial <br />
