Plan Review M25-94-2227C <br />Blazer Industries <br /> <br />A NOTE: <br /> <br />The following list of items are standard plan review comments made in an effort <br />to be of assistance to the manufacturer, The items listed below are not meant to <br />imply that these plans do not comply wlth code requirements. The field inspector <br />will verify code compliance during the inspection at the manufacturer's facility. <br /> <br />Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge <br />or effort. The opening of any door shall not require more than one simple motion. The use of <br />dual locking and/or latching devices or any dual combination of the above is prohibited. See <br />exception m first sentence above for key lock only for B occupancies. 1993 OSSC, <br />Section 3304(c). <br /> <br />There shall be a floor or landing on each side of a door, When access for persons with <br />disabilities is required by OSSC Chapter 31, the floor or landing shall not be more than <br />1/2 inch lower than the threshold of the doorway. 1993 OSSC, Section 3304(i). <br /> <br />One perm dry cup vapor barrier shall be installed (on the warm side in winter) on all exterior <br />floors, walls, and ceilings of heated commercial buildings. 1993 OSSC, Section 5303(f). <br /> <br />Exposed vapor barriers (not in substantial contact with a covering surface) shall be rated FS-25 <br />or less in Types IIi, IV and ¥ combustible construction. 1993 OSSC, Section 1714(c). <br /> <br />I0. <br /> <br />The office portion of this building is required to be accessible to and usable by persons with <br />disabilities. Door, window, cabinet, plumbing fixture and storage facility hardware shall be of <br />the type that does not require a gripping or twisting action to operate. Smooth round knob type <br />is not acceptable. Lever action or pattie type (as an example) are acceptable. This applies to <br />all doors (interior or exterior) that are u. sed during the normal course of a day's activities by <br />the structure's occupants. Possible exception: janitor and storage closets; furnace rooms. <br />Details and dimensions not shown shall comply with the requirements of 1993 OSSC, <br />Chapter 31_ <br /> <br />ill <br /> <br />Enclosed attic and rafter spaces shall have cress-ventilation for each separate space. The net <br />free ventilating area shall not be less than 1/150th of the area of the space ventilated. The area <br />may be 1/300 if Exception I and/or 2 is fully satisfied per 1993 OSSC, Section 3205(c). <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />Safety glazing material shall be installed in fixed or operable panels adjacent to doors where <br />the nearest exposed edge of the glazing is within a 24-inch arc of either vertical edge of the <br />door in a closed position and where the bottom exposed edge of the glazing is less than <br />60 inches above the walking surface. 1993 OSSC, Section 5406(d)(6). <br /> <br /> <br />
