Mr.Jason Caswell ProNet File No. 47371
State Farm Insurance Company March 15, 2021
Page 4
• After the wildfire, Ms. Taylor noticed that a light socket contained in the pump
house (located northwest of the main residence) had started smoking during one
of her attempts to turn on the light while operating a nearby light switch. Mr.
Taylor noticed that an electric sub-panel (located in the shop house directly north
of the main residence) made buzzing noises whenever electric equipment, which
had been plugged into the building area receptacles, was attempted to be
energized.
• After the wildfire, the local electric utility was known to be doing restoration work
in the general Idanha area but did not perform any work in the vicinity of the
Taylor property. During the inspection, we
searched for any type of evidence indicative of burning or intense heating which may
have resulted in damage to the affected components. We also searched for other
evidence of damage including discoloration, distortion, warping, breaking, abrasions,
cuts, abnormal wear and tear, liquid ingress, malfunctioning and/or mis-operation.
General Vicinity Outside the Main Residence
We inspected all areas immediately surrounding the residence.
North and East Areas: We did not observe any evidence of fire-related damage in
these areas. As the wildfire was known to have encroached the residence from the
west side, we were not expecting to observe damage in these areas.
South Area: We note that the North Santiam River is situated directly south of the
residence, flowing in the east-west direction (approximately 100 feet away) and
