Mr.Jason Caswell ProNet File No. 47371
State Farm Insurance Company March 15, 2021
Page 5
provides a natural barrier against wildfires. We did not observe any evidence of fire-
related damage on this side of the residence as expected.
West Area: We observed that the existing trees on this side of the home were
severely burned and damaged as result of the wildfire. We note that the home exterior
surfaces and physical structures in this area were observed to be intact and physically
undamaged from the wildfire. This included the front porch wooden structures (posts,
decking, and beams, etc.), exterior walls and paint, guttering, outdoor receptacles, and
wall-mounted cables.
Areas Inside the Main Residence
General: We did not observe evidence of fire-related damage inside any of the
residential interior room areas including the kitchen, living room, bedroom, hallway, and
bathroom areas.
Main Power Panel: We inspected the main power panel, which was flush mounted
on an east interior wall of the residence. We also removed the front panel barrier as
part of our inspection to examine the internal cables, components, and neutral and
ground wiring connections. All breakers were in the "ON" position. We did not observe
any evidence of damage, inappropriate wiring/connections, or other abnormalities.
Receptacles: All receptacles inspected were observed to be free of fire-related
damage. We randomly tested voltage levels of numerous receptacles throughout the
home. All results were noted to be within an acceptable range of 118 to 121 volts-AC.
Non-Metallic Cables: We inspected the non-metallic cable installations on the west
side of the home in the attic space as this area of the home was closest to wildfire
encroachment. All cables inspected in this area were observed to be free of heat
damage to the outer sheathing. We did not observe any evidence of discoloration
(browning), burning, melting, heat stress, etc., involving any of the installed non-
metallic cables in this space.
