Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />5.Interprets policy and procedures, assures compliances, monitors non-compliance, and <br />makes recommendations for appropriate corrective action. <br />6.Prepares, negotiates, administers, and monitors contractual services agreements and <br />vendor contracts; serves as liaison with service providers or vendors. <br />7.Recruits, trains, and evaluates volunteers or temporary employees; and assigns and <br />coordinates the activities of volunteers or temporary employees. <br />8.Conducts program related training for county staff, volunteers, temporary staff, <br />community boards and committees, affiliated agencies, vendors, and service providers. <br />9.Designs and recommends implementation of internal communications related to a <br />program to promote awareness of the goals and activities of the program; and assists <br />in the development of external communications and advertisement for programs and <br />events. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Associate's Degree in public or business administration or a closely related field; AND <br />2.At least two (2) years of responsible experience in program coordination, planning, <br />development and evaluation (Depending on the program, experience in a specialized <br />field may be required.); OR <br />3.Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training relevant to the <br />position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Possession of or ability to obtain a valid class C Oregon driver's license within 30 days <br />> <br />of hire. <br />Depending on program may be required to pass a criminal history background <br />> <br />investigation; however, conviction of a crime may not necessarily disqualify an <br />individual for this classification. <br />Depending on the program certification(s) or additional specialized educational <br />> <br />requirements may be required. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Knowledge of practices in local government and financial principles; organizational processes, <br />budget preparation, and administrative techniques; methodologies of program development, <br />assessment, and evaluation; and resource available to coordinate the development and <br />operations in areas of specialty. <br />Skill and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; produce and edit <br />documents using appropriate spelling, grammar, and punctuation; conduct independent <br />research; define and resolve operational and administrative problems and procedures; collect, <br />evaluate and summarize data; prepare clear and concise reports, meeting information, <br />minutes, and operational records; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships <br />with other employees, other agencies, and the public; lead, direct, and participate in training <br />and evaluating personnel. <br />ADOPTED: <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecI...11/23/2020 <br /> <br />
