Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />7.Assists jail management and Marion County Legal Counsel in responding to inmate inquiries, <br />habeas corpus, tort claims and grievances. <br />8.Participates in the analysis and recommendations of new computerized applications and software, <br />including system changes and upgrades. <br />9.Combines files, moves photos, repairs and expunges records files and photos from database and <br />notifies appropriate agencies. <br />10.Certifies statements of time served on every docket and charge when inmate sentenced to <br />Department of Corrections. <br />11.Provides backup coverage for support service technicians as needed; possesses knowledge of <br />intake processing, warrants and Desk 4; provides quality control and assists in training. <br />12.Updates the local automated data system to ensure accuracy of fingerprint records in coordination <br />with State ID Services. <br />13.Provides quality control support to Marion County Courts by verifying bail money received at the <br />correctional facility. <br />14.Processes correspondence and responds to request for information from a variety of entities <br />including various federal and state agencies. <br />15.Performs other related duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.High school diploma; <br />2.Two (2) years experience processing police, courts and corrections records in an office or law <br />enforcement environment; OR <br />3.Equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience relative to the position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Possess, or obtain within 30 days of hire, Law Enforcement Data System certification and Oregon <br />> <br />Notary Public commission. <br />May be required to pass skills assessment test(s) to demonstrate skills and abilities. <br />> <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Knowledge of: criminal justice information systems; current legislation and changes to laws regarding <br /> criminal codes and sentencing requirements; data entry procedures, methods and equipment; and <br />general office practices and procedures. <br />Ability to: perform technical work requiring a high degree of accuracy; use of independent judgment; <br />correctly interpret and apply statutes, laws, and county policies and procedures; effectively engage in <br />problem solving processes; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; establish and maintain <br />cooperative working relationships; handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion; and act <br />calmly and effectively in emergency and stressful situations. <br />Skill in: using a variety of data processing systems; word processing, spreadsheets, and database <br />software applications; keyboarding skills at a speed and accuracy level necessary for adequate job <br />performance; and general mathematical calculations. <br />ADOPTED: <br />08/03 <br />REVISED: <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
