Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />6.Performs research and composes reports on a variety of technical and/or administrative issues <br />which require the use of initiative and independent judgment, and makes recommendations. <br />7.Maintains administrative and contract files, including contract modification orders, correspondence, <br />policies and procedures and management team materials. <br />8.Maintains and monitors subcontracts, revising payment schedules using draft contract <br />modifications; prepares monthly subcontractor payments. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from high school or equivalent, preferably supplemented by course work in business <br />administration, accounting, computer programs or related work (With five (5) years of progressively <br />responsible experience in an office or similar work environment related to the position.); AND <br />2.Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity which <br />includes knowledge in the areas of: training, scheduling, reviewing work, providing guidance and <br />technical expertise to others, providing input on performance evaluations and/or making <br />recommendations in the hiring process; OR <br />3.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Knowledge of: the methods and practices of supervision and leadership with the ability to carry them <br />out; administrative procedures and the ability to apply those principles; office equipment, and computer <br />equipment and programs, and demonstrated skill in their use; office record keeping procedures and <br />accounting principles; laws and regulations as they pertain to the position; <br />Ability to: effectively supervise and coordinate the work of a clerical and/or technical support staff; <br />communicate effectively in both oral and written form; maintain effective working relationships with <br />coworkers, administrative staff from a variety of agencies, and the public. <br />ADOPTED: <br />07/82 <br />REVISED: <br />06/84; 09/91; 03/93; 10/02; 04/07; 07/15 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />08/06; 12/13; 05/20 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br />
