<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Human Resources <br />Specialist <br />Class Code: <br />057 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$23.33 - $31.28 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt 05 ParaprofessionalsBusiness Services <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs a variety of paraprofessional, technical and administrative assignments and duties in support of <br />the Human Resources and Risk Management divisions. Duties and responsibilities support one or more <br />of the following programs: workforce recruitment and selection, personnel ordinance and policy <br />administration, position classification and compensation, workforce training and development, benefits <br />administration, risk management, loss control, workers' compensation claims management, liability, <br />property and casualty claims management, human resources, risk management and workers' <br />compensation information systems, labor relations and collective bargaining. (Workforce includes county <br />employees, interns and volunteers as applicable.) Performs other related duties as assigned. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, Risk Manager or designee, who <br />provides general supervision including assigning and reviewing work. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a function of positions in this classification; however, may include <br />lead responsibilities over interns or volunteers <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Responds to routine requests for information about department programs and processes; prepares <br />and distributes packets of information to the workforce or the public; assists workforce or the public <br />with completion of volunteer service, employment, benefits or workers' compensation related <br />forms; ensures all forms received, are fully completed and accurate. <br />2.Researches, compiles, organizes and reviews data to verify facts, resolve discrepancies, or <br />provide statistical information in an investigative study or project; prepares findings for higher level <br />staff or management; creates and maintains spreadsheets in support of various human resources <br />or risk management functions. <br />3.Facilitates or leads training sessions; conducts new workforce orientations; or holds informational <br />meetings that support human resource and risk management programs.Training may be in small <br />or large group settings, in a variety of geographic locations and facilities. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
