<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Office Specialist 2 <br />(Sheriff's Office) <br />Class Code: <br />003 <br />Bargaining Unit: 05 - Marion County Law <br />Enforcement Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$17.04 - $22.19 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt 06 Administrative SupportSheriff <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Independently performs a variety of responsible administrative support activities to promote and maintain <br />effective program services, according to established practice and procedures; performs related work as <br />required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of a Sheriff's Office supervisor or manager who assigns work, sets <br />goals and reviews work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with office policies, goals, and <br />objectives. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification; however, may <br />provide training and give instruction to office staff and may exercise lead responsibility as directed. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />May perform any of the duties of the OS 1 class in this job series, but distinguished by a primary focus on <br />the duties listed below: <br />1.Receives and transfers telephone calls on a multiple-line system; provides information relating to <br />county, office, and/or program services; assists the public in completing forms and applications; <br />transfers or refers calls to proper source; interprets office policy to convey information about <br />services. <br />2.Greets visitors and/or clients and directs individuals to appropriate staff. <br />Additionally, may do any or all of the following: <br />1.Makes appointments for clients with appropriate staff members; maintains office calendars and <br />schedules; schedules, organizes, and coordinates meetings; makes travel, lodging, and <br />conference arrangements; takes, prepares, and distributes meeting minutes. <br />2.Effectively operates specialized office equipment; orders office supplies and equipment, and <br />maintains inventory; assists in planning, coordinating, and organizing office relocations. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
