Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />8.Provides assistance to and makes recommendations in the hiring process. <br />9.Provides education and training to other staff, outside professionals and the community. <br />10.May represent the agency of internal or external committees as requested by supervisor. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Master's degree in psychology, social work, education or a related field; AND <br />2.Two (2) years of professional work experience consisting of serving individuals with a primary <br />diagnosis of intellectual or developmental disabilities; OR <br />3.Bachelor's degree in above listed fields and four (4) years of professional work experience <br />consisting of serving individuals with a primary diagnosis of intellectual or developmental <br />disabilities; OR <br />4.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Some positions in this classification may require special certification and/or successful completion <br />> <br />of Core Competencies as per current Oregon Administrative Rule prior to performing job duties. <br />Some positions in this classification may require possession and ability to maintain, at time of <br />> <br />application, a valid Class C Oregon driver's license and acceptable driving record. <br />For positions in this classification requiring a valid Class C Oregon driver's license, must possess <br />> <br />and maintain proof of personal automobile liability insurance, at a minimum, in the amount required <br />by Oregon Law \[ORS 806\]. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Thorough knowledge of: intellectual and developmental disability concepts; the public service system for <br />intellectual and developmental disability services in Oregon, including the Office of Developmental <br />Disability Services (ODDS)structure and agency functioning; ODDS service policies and regulations,; <br />general project planning concepts, quality assurance/quality improvement concepts and the development <br />and implementation of plans of correction. <br />Working knowledge of: eligibility criteria for intellectual and developmental disability services; other <br />developmental disabilities social services agencies in the community specifically funded and licensed by <br />the ODDS; Medicaid requirements for ODDS funded services. <br />Ability to: prepare and monitor budgets including approved Medicaid fund allocations; prepare and <br />develop data collection methodologies; prepare and monitor quality assurance plans; coordinate and <br />monitor projects; keep privileged information confidential; act in a professional manner; develop <br />collaborative relationships with clients, their families, service providers and other agencies within the <br />community; develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with physicians, law enforcement agencies, <br />the courts, public and private administrators and the community in general; ability to review individual <br />service plans and progress records in a timely and professional manner; work within a team atmosphere. <br />Advanced skill working with developmental disability clients. <br />ADOPTED: <br />04/05 <br />REVISED: <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
