Septic Permit 555-19-000202-PRMT Page 3 of 4
Date Certificate,Issued:.0 /23/2019
Work Description -,NEW INSTALL:, 4 EMPLOYEES,, -
Approved Area&System Type
This property has been approved for an ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM Treatment
Standard 1 in the area of test pit#3, #4, #5 and#6 under Site Evaluation 555-18-009310-EVAL. The proposed
system stakeout has been approved and installation plans have been approved as submitted. Please refer to the
signed approved site plan dated January 16, 2019. Any deviation from the approved plans must be authorized by
this office prior to installation or the permit may be voided. The required inspection schedule is attached to this
permit. It's the responsibility of applicant/installer to coordinate these requirements with all others in OAR
340-071-0220.
This Permit is for a septic system designed to serve an agricultural processing facility with up to ten employees.
Waste water from processing is disposed of separately. Peak sewage flow into the system is limited to a
maximum of 150 gallons per day, with an average sewage flow of not more than 75 gallons per day. Premature
failure of the treatment system may occur if either of these flow quantities is exceeded. If, for some reason, you
expect your water use may exceed these flows, it is advisable to increase the size of the treatment system.
Specific Requirements
ATT Pretreatment Unit: AX2ORTN Treatment Standard 1 as per approved attached plan.
SERVICE CONTRACTS: The owner of an ATT system must maintain a service contract with a maintenance
provider certified by the manufacturer to service and maintain the onsite system. A service contract must be
entered into before the system is installed and must be maintained until the system is decommissioned. The
service contract must provide for a minimum of four inspections and service visits by a maintenance provider
scheduled once every six months over a two-year period to inspect, adjust, and service the ATT. The septic tank
must be pumped before solids reach 30% of the tank liquid operating level. The maintenance provider must
submit an annual report and fee. Please review OAR 340-071-0345 for full requirements.
TANK RISER: The tank must be installed with watertight risers extending to the ground surface or above. The
riser lid must be gasketed and securely fastened.
DRY SOIL CONDITIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION (March 1 —October 31) The geographical area
in which the property lies is considered a risk to installation during winter months. Soil moisture conditions
generally preclude construction of the drainfield in the winter months.
GRAVELLESS ABSORPTION TRENCHES ARE REQUIREDas part of this installation. Hole spacing in the
pressure distribution piping will be 24 inches on center or less. A minimum 2-foot squirt height is required at
the remotest orifice. Green tracer wire is required above the pressure transport piping and each line must end
with a long sweep elbow and flushing orifice with removable cap at or above finished grade. Each pressure
lateral must have at least one inspection port with minimum diameter of 4 inches. A barrier to prevent
burrowing animals from entering the absorption chambers is required.
AN EFFLUENT LIFT PUMP WILL BE REQUIRED to install the septic system disposal field in the approved area
and at the required depth. Detailed instructions for dosing tank/effluent pump installations are available in our
office. The electrical wiring to the pump and alarm must be installed in accordance with the appropriate Electrical
Code. The electrical work must be done under a Marion County Electrical Permit and must be inspected and
approved by a Marion County Electrical Inspector. The work must be left uncovered and accessible for
inspection. The electrical inspection includes the connections to the pump and alarm in the dosing tank, the
wiring in the trench and the connections in the structure. The effluent pipe must have 18-gauge minimum green
tracer wire or green metallic tape placed along the line.
OBSERVE ALL SETBACKS AND SEPARATION DISTANCES as required by the DEQ rules. A copy of the
DEQ setback requirements is available online at http://www.oregon.gov/deq/Residential/Pages/Onsite.aspx under
Rules: Division 71: Table 1 and in our office.
5/23/19:5:13:26PM Page 3 of 4 ONS_OnsiteCSCJDr
