System plans are approved as revised. Refer to approved plans dated July 18,2017. Any deviation from
the approved plans must be authorized by this office prior to installation or the permit may be voided. The required inspection
schedule is attached to this permit. It's the responsibility of applicant/installer to coordinate these requirements with all others in
OAR 340-071-0220.
This approval is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling as a reasonable repair per OAR 340-071-0215(4)(b).
Peak sewage flow into the system is limited to a maximum of 450 gallons per day, with an average sewage flow of not more than
225 gallons per day. This is normally sufficient to serve a single family dwelling with a maximum of four bedrooms.
Specific Requirements
ATT Pretreatment Unit: AX20-RTUV as per approved attached plan.
SERVICE CONTRACTS: The owner of an ATT system must maintain a service contract with a maintenance provider certified
by the manufacturer to serve and maintain the onsite system. A service contract must be entered into before the system is
installed and must be maintained until the system is decommissioned. The service contract must provide for a minimum of four
inspections and service visits by a maintenance provider scheduled once every six months over a two-year period to inspect,
adjust, and service the ATT. The septic tank must be pumped before solids reach 30%of the tank liquid operating level. The
maintenance provider must submit an annual report and fee. Please review OAR 340-071-0345 for full requirements.
ANTI-BUOYANCY is required for septic tank and ATT Pod installation at this site. See manufacturer's specifications for
anti-buoyancy.
ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF THIS SEPTIC SYSTEM. Detailed instructions for
dosing tank/effluent pump installations are available in our office. The electrical wiring to the pump and alarm must be installed
in accordance with the appropriate Electrical Code. The electrical work must be done under a Marion County Electrical
Permit and must be inspected and approved by a Marion County Electrical Inspector. The work must be left uncovered
and accessible for inspection. The electrical inspection includes the connections to the pump and alarm in the dosing tank, the
wiring in the trench and the connections in the structure.
TANK RISER: The tank must be installed with watertight risers extending to the ground surface or above. The riser lid must be
gasketed and securely fastened. MAINTAIN PERMANENT ACCESS to septic tank for pumping and service.
PRESSURIZED DISTRIBUTION systems are installed in soils with excessive amounts of sand and gravel in the soil profile. In
areas of permanent water tables, these systems shall not discharge more than 450 gallons of septic effluent per 1/2 acre.
Pressurized distribution systems are limited to sites with residential strength wastewater. A minimum 5-foot squirt height is
required at the remotest orifice, and no more than a 10%difference in squirt height is allowed from the nearest to the remotest
orifice in each line. Based on the soil texture in the test pits, the required hole spacing in the pressure distribution piping will be
36 inches on center. A minimum 18-gauge minimum green tracer wire or green metallic tape must be placed along all piping.
CAPPING FILL SYSTEMS MAY ONLY BE INSTALLED FROM JUNE 1ST TO OCTOBER 1ST or during such times when the
Building Inspection Onsite Wastewater staff finds soil moisture conditions acceptable. See the attached"CAPPING FILL"
information sheet for instructions. NOTE: USE THE SOIL CAP MATERIAL FROM THE HOUSE DIG-OUT OR OTHER FILL
APPROVED BY THIS DEPARTMENT.
OBSERVE ALL SETBACKS AND SEPARATION DISTANCES as required by the DEQ rules. A copy of the DEQ setback
requirements is available in our office and online at http://www.oregon.gov/deq/Residential/Pages/Onsite.aspx under Rules:
Division 71:Table 1.
THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock and farming activities.
Other activities such as excavating or filling, driveway placement, paving or other similar activities that alter the natural soil
conditions will adversely affect the soil and the septic system function and lead to premature system failure. The area must not
be subjected to excessive saturation due to artificial drainage of ground surfaces, driveways, building downspouts or other
sources. The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair system must both be protected.
THE ATTACHED SEPTIC TANK ABANDONMENT FORM MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED TO OUR OFFICE. The
septic system installer must complete and sign the form and attach a copy of the receipt from the septic tank pumping service
for pumping the tank.
5/10/19:1:04:52PM Page 3 of 4 ONS_OnsiteCSC pr
