The conditions observed during this site evaluation indicate the area around the evaluated test holes is not capable of supporting a standard septic system due to seasonal temporary groundwater level too close to the ground surface and limited usable area meeting setbacks. Please refer to the signed site plans dated September 28, 2018. Under these conditions, an ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY (ATT) System with TREATMENT STANDARD #1 is required to adequately treat sewage effluent under DEQ rules. ATT Systems are devices connected to a septic system. They are designed to provide pre-treatment of effluent to reduce the level of bacteria prior to dispersal into a drainfield. They use mechanical circulation to provide a high level of treatment. ATT Systems are installed in soils where effective soil depth, saturated soils, available space, or other site conditions are severely limiting. This Permit is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling with a maximum of 5 (five) bedrooms. Peak sewage flow into the system is limited to a maximum of 525 gallons per day, with an average sewage flow of not more than 263 gallons per day. Premature failure of the treatment system may occur if either of these flow quantities is exceeded. If, for some reason, you expect your domestic household water use may exceed these flows, it is advisable to increase the size of the treatment system. Specific Requirements: ATT Pretreatment Unit: Advantex AX25RTN as per submitted plans SERVICE CONTRACTS: The owner of an ATT system must maintain a service contract with a maintenance provider certified by the manufacturer to service and maintain the onsite system. A service contract must be entered into before the system is installed and must be maintained until the system is decommissioned. The service contract must provide for a minimum of four inspections and service visits by a maintenance provider scheduled once every six months over a two-year period to inspect, adjust, and service the ATT.
