Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />8.Recruits and trains Personal Care Assistants to support consumers as they leave structured <br />residential services. <br />9.Documents all services in a timely fashion according to standards provided. <br />10.Participates in team meetings and coordinates all activities with Residential Coordinator. <br />11.Performs other related duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. <br />2.Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training relevant to the position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Possession of Occupational Therapist License issued by the State of Oregon. <br />> <br />Must possess, or obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Oregon driver's license. Must possess, at <br />> <br />time of hire, and maintain an acceptable driver's record. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES <br />General knowledge of: normal and abnormal neurodevelopment; quality assurance activities, standards <br />and procedures; modern principles, techniques, materials and equipment used in occupational therapy; <br />anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, physical and psychological pathology and human development; State <br />and Federal laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures. <br />Basic knowledge of: medical terminology and medical conditions; potential hazards to consumers during <br />treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures. <br />Skilled in the areas of: selecting and administering appropriate tests to assess and evaluate consumer's <br />fine and gross motor skills and daily living skills; identifying individual goals based on results of evaluation <br />and developing treatment programs to fit individual needs; oral and written communication of test results, <br />plans and goals; problem solving and working independently. <br />Ability to: design and fabricate splints and other adaptive equipment and monitor their use; carry out <br />occupational therapy activities on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting; prepare written progress and <br />evaluation reports; demonstrate techniques of occupational therapy and teach its objectives; establish <br />and maintain effective working relationships; motivate and sustain consumer interest; modify and <br />terminate treatment activities, plans and goals; work within a team and collaborate with team members; <br />act professionally with regard to appropriate code of ethics and confidentiality standards. <br />ADOPTED: <br />09/11 <br />REVISED: <br />11/18 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />09/11; 11/18 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br />
