<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Community Health <br />Development Manager <br />Class Code: <br />528 <br />Bargaining Unit: 02 - Supervisory <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$2,671.20 - $3,575.20 Biweekly <br />$5,787.60 - $7,746.27 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSAEEOCDepartment <br />: Exempt : 02 Professionals : Health and Human Services <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs complex management analysis and coordination activities that have department, regional, <br />county and state-wide scope and impact in developing community health policies and programs; <br />negotiates and manages departmental service contracting process for legal, policy and procedural <br />compliance; facilitates, participates in and represents the Health and Human Services Department on <br />special task forces and committees involving county, regional and state organizations; performs other <br />duties as assigned. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general direction of a department head or his/her designee, with additional <br />recommendations from teams, task forces, and committees. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervises employees in a team-based organization; responsible for personnel actions which includes <br />hiring, coaching on performance, conducting performance evaluations, progressive discipline, including <br />oral reprimand, and responding to first level employee grievances. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Responsible for performance management: recommends essential job functions; coordinates <br />recruitment and makes hiring recommendations; coordinates orientation; facilitates staff <br />development; monitors licensure/certification requirements; supervises clinical practice; conducts <br />performance evaluations and progressive discipline; responds to "step one" of union grievance. <br />2.Provides complex management analysis and support to a department, including development and <br />implementation of a program or function; provides management direction; reviews expenditures, <br />purchases and operations. <br />3.Convenes, leads and/or represents the Health and Human Services Department on special task <br />forces and committees, comprised of representatives from other organizations and members of the <br />community, in order to establish mutual goals and processes to improve community health within <br />the communities of Marion County. <br />4.Negotiates, coordinates, and manages the department's contracts processes including auditing <br />and monitoring departments and Marion County's contractors compliance with Marion County. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
