<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Trial Team Supervisor <br />Class Code: <br />634 <br />Bargaining Unit: 02 - Supervisory <br />MARION COUNTY <br />Established Date: Sep 1, 1992 <br />Revision Date: Oct 1, 2013 <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$4,138.40 - $5,542.40 Biweekly <br />$8,966.53 - $12,008.53 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Exempt02 ProfessionalsDistrict Attorney <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Supervises Deputy District Attorneys in preparation and presentation of criminal, juvenile delinquencies <br />and/or child support enforcement prosecution and/or dependency proceedings on behalf of Marion <br />County. Conducts criminal, juvenile and/or child support enforcement prosecution in Circuit Court <br />proceedings on behalf of Marion County including dependency proceedings; assists the District Attorney <br />in the administration and direction of activities of the office of the District Attorney; Establishes <br />prosecution policy in consultation with the DA, for trial team legal specialization including juvenile <br />delinquency, as well as child support enforcement policy; and juvenile dependency policy; performs other <br />work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general direction of the District Attorney, who assigns work, establishes goals and <br />reviews performance for overall effectiveness through verbal communication and analysis of reports. <br />This is an unclassified position that serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Exercises full supervision over Deputy District Attorneys and other professional staff; participates in the <br />selection of new personnel, provides for training, evaluates performance, responds to grievances or <br />disciplinary problems. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Initiates and prosecutes misdemeanor, felony, juvenile delinquency, juvenile dependency, civil <br />support enforcement and/or contempt cases in which the Circuit Court has jurisdiction; consults <br />with and advises police agencies, or other outside agencies, in the course of investigations; <br />reviews police reports and/or other relevant information and makes initial charging decisions. <br />2.Prepares case for presentation to the Grand Jury or conducts preliminary hearings, to include <br />contacting and reviewing the case with witnesses; performs legal research; prepares and argues <br />pretrial motions; presents case to court or jury for adjudication; represents the State at sentencing <br />and make appropriate recommendations; prepares and presents cases to the Grand Jury as <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
