Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />8.Assists in the preparation of detailed and accurate reports of investigation services provided. <br />Assists in the preparation of evidence and may present testimony in court on results of seizures, <br />the handling of evidence and results of analyses conducted. <br />9.Attends court hearings and trials as required by subpoena. <br />10.Assists with training of law enforcement personnel and other personnel as requested and <br />authorized. <br />11.Fulfills requirements for IACIS certification by completing training hour requirements and <br />casework. <br />12.Performs other related duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Two-year college degree or technical school degree related to computer applications; AND <br />2.Two (2) years of experience in computer applications related to a specific department's function(s); <br />OR <br />3.Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training relevant to the position. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Must complete IACIS certification within one year from date of hire. <br />> <br />Must possess or obtain, within 30 days of hire, a valid Class C Oregon driver's license. <br />> <br />Must possess and maintain an acceptable driving record. <br />> <br />Must possess and maintain proof of personal automobile liability insurance, at a minimum, in the <br />> <br />amount required by Oregon Law (ORS Chapter 806). <br />Must pass a criminal history and background check. <br />> <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Knowledge of: PC operating systems, hardware and other peripherals; fundamental principles and <br />procedures of record keeping; English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation; automated system <br />security methods and procedures; training system practices and procedures; mini, micro and PC software <br />applications; PC utilities and Standard Query Language (SQL); computer operating systems; data <br />integrity control. <br />Ability to: learn skills necessary to collect, preserve, label, catalog and store evidentiary items for <br />presentation in criminal proceedings in accordance with legal standards; skills to utilize computer <br />hardware and software and other equipment commonly used in analysis and recovery of computer and <br />related data; to interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, procedures, laws and regulations; to <br />maintain confidentiality related to area of work; to operate and use modern office equipment including a <br />personal computer and appropriate computer programs; to communicate clearly and concisely, both <br />orally and in writing; provide technical assistance or training to others in the use of computer hardware <br />and software; to resolve user problems; to enforce standards and procedures in area of assignment; to <br />organize and write worksite instructions and procedures; to code, test, debug, maintain and install <br />computer applications and modify applications according to worksite requirements. <br />ADOPTED: <br />03/05 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />; <br />03/0505/17 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br />
