May coordinate a program <br />encompassing community volunteers to provide advocate services to victims of crimes. Performs other <br />duties as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under general supervision of the Victim Assistance Program Manager, who assigns work, sets <br />goals and reviews for conformance to policy and procedures. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. However, the <br />incumbent may act as a lead worker over volunteers, which may include reviewing work, organizing, <br />planning and scheduling work assignments, and providing training. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Recruits and leads volunteers who provide advocate services to victims of crimes; may assign <br />work, conduct performance reviews and coaching to advocates. <br />2.Coordinates and presents advocate training; develops and prepares training materials; evaluates <br />training program. <br />3.Conducts case management; analyzes files, assigns cases to volunteers and staff, develops case <br />action plan, and monitors case progression. Develops systems to more efficiently accomplish all <br />aspects of case management. <br />4.Provides direct services to adult and child victims of crimes and their families.Direct services <br />include crisis intervention, short-term supportive counseling, trial preparation, advocacy, court <br />accompaniment, and referrals. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/4/2020 <br /> <br />
