PROPERTY ACQUISTION <br />Property Acquisition -Reflects the cost of acquiring the three remaining non-county owned <br />parcels. <br />CONTRACTOR COST <br />Contractor Cost - Contractor costs based on Pence Kelly bid dated 2/4/99. <br />TENANT IMPROVEMENTS <br />Security Allowance - Intended to enhance the base system included in the contractor bid. <br />Telecom Installation - Costs reflect estimates provided by Marion Co. These estimates assume <br />Marion Co. facilities staff ~onducts the work. An estimated design fee has been included. <br />FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT <br />Furniture and Equipment - Budget item is intended to fund building specialty items. These <br />items include: miscellaneous furnishings, portable workstation panels, computer room <br />equipment, (in-street) phone/data conduit, automated filing system design, workstation power <br />connections, demountable walls, CCTV wiring and equipment. It is anticipated that the cost of <br />the in-street conduit and CCTV connection to employee PCs will be shared 79.93% / 20.07% <br />between the County and Transit. <br />SOILS REMEDIATION <br />Soils Remediation - Actual costs expended to date. This line item includes cost of assessment, <br />excavation and disposal. <br />FEES AND INSURANCE <br />Fees and Insurance - Estimated cost based on research and historical data (shared 69.36% / <br />30.64%). <br />ARCHITECTURAL / CONSULTANTS <br />Architects -Includes fees paid for original design ($458,904) and a credit ($180,421) towards the <br />current project design. The fee is calculated as 6% of the accepted bid and 4.8% of rejected add <br />altemates. The cost of the original fee was split 72% / 28%. The fee for the current design is <br />shared at 69.36% / 30.64%. <br />Reimbursables - Estimated cost of design-related reimbursable expenses (shared 69.36%/ <br />30.64%). <br />Preliminary Bus Mall Planning - Actual cost of the preliminary transit mall design (Transit only <br />expense). <br />Value Engineering - Actual cost of value engineering session with Meng & Associates (Transit <br />only expense). <br />
