6. Deliberations . . . (Continued) <br />(b) Proposed Amendments to the Riverfront-Downtown Urban <br />Renewal Plan - Introduced by Mayor Swaim <br />Note: A staff report and the case file from Community <br />Development are included in the packet <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends that Council adopt <br />the proposed amendments to the Riverfront-Downtown <br />Urban Renewal Plan as described in the Report on <br />Proposed Amendments to the Riverfront-Downtown Urban <br />Renewal Plan and shown on the Riverfront-Downtown Urban <br />Renewal Area map; and that Council adopt the <br />alternative recommendation described on page 3 of the <br />October 12, 1998 staff report, to remove all sites <br />along the Mill Creek corridor, identified for potential <br />acquisition by the Renewal Agency, including property <br />north of Mill Creek owned by Truitt Brothers and <br />property along Willow Street and Knapps Place, until <br />such time as specific sites are identified by a <br />detailed study of the Mill Creek corridor <br />Public hearing held 9/28/98 <br />7. CONTINUATION OF APPEARANCE OF INTERESTED CITIZENS: An <br />additional thirty minutes maximum is available for persons other than <br />City Board and Commission representatives to comment on specific agenda <br />items other than communications to be referred to staff or received and <br />filed, public hearings, deliberations and the merits of land use issues <br />that are reviewable by Council at public hearings. Each person's <br />comments will be limited to three minutes. <br />12 <br />
