MEMORANDUM <br />TO: DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS <br />DOWNTOWN PARKING ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS / <br />FROM: RICHARD A. HAYDEN, URBAN DEVELOPMENT ADMII~tIST <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: JULY 16, 1998 <br />SUBJECT: JOINT MEETING AGENDA <br />The Development Board and Parking Board will meet in a joint session on Thursday, July 23, <br />1998, at 7:00 am in Room 305 of Civic Center. <br />The purpose of the joint meeting is to receive a presentation from representatives of Marion <br />County and Salem Area Transit on the Courthouse Square project, reference agenda item 3a. <br />Other items listed on the agenda (items 3b and 3c) are to be addressed by the Development <br />Board. Accordingly, the Parking Board may wish to adjourn following the Courthouse Square <br />presentation. <br />Following is a synopsis of the agenda items: <br />Item 3a. Streetscape/Parking Configuration - Courthouse Square <br />Presentation by Marion County and Salem Area Transit on the proposed on-street <br />parking plan and streetscape improvements for the Courthouse Square project. <br />Reference the accompanying memorandum from Randy Curtis. <br />Item 3b. The Brick - Request for Bench Relocation <br />Ms. Salchenberg of the Brick will address the Development Board requesting its <br />consideration to relocate a streetscape bench. Staff will be prepared to present <br />alternatives for consideration. <br />Item 3c. Parking District/Operations <br />Staff has been requested for informative purposes to explain to the Development <br />Board operations of the parking district and its tax structure. <br />~ <br />
