Courthouse Square Internal Staff Team <br />~ January 8, 1998 Meeting Summary <br />Present: Billy Wasson, John Whittington, Mike Hansen, Larry Oglesby, Ken Roudybush, Randy <br />Franke, Marcia Kelley, R.G. Lease Study <br />SPOC Brieting <br />The following handouts received as addition to the minutes of the last SPOC meeting were <br />~ provided to staff: <br />1. A status memo from Justice Peterson to advisory committee members; <br />2. Letter from John McMillan; <br />3. Letter from Robert Wulf. <br />BillyWasson felt staff should look at questions posed by John McMillan and answer them. Billy <br />will consult with Justice Peterson to determine if any action is required on the documents received <br />or if they were just to be included in the record. John Whittington will answer all questions relating <br />to transit and Randy Curtis will address those questions for county. Randy Franke suggested doing <br />a visual presentation along with the numbers and commentary for better visualization of the project. <br />The letter from Robert Wulf was the first concise support of the project according to R.G. <br />Andersen-Wyckoff. <br />Copies of "What is the need for Courthouse Square?" reports from both transit and county were <br />given to staff along with testimony from County employee Greg Han and ex-mayor Roger <br />Gertenrich. <br />A copy of SPOC issues for ne~ meeting was also distributed to staff. Transit provided a draft copy <br />of expectations for SPOC to consider from transit's perspective. Recommended that transit and <br />boazd elected officials along with Billy Wasson and John Whittington meet with Justice Peterson <br />privately to offer guidance/direction on the issues. The issue of a public vote was discussed and <br />how SPOC should deal with this issue. <br />~ <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
