March 31, 1998 ~~ Memo To: T6e Special Pro,ject Oversight Committee From: Joha Whittington Project Coordinator, Salem Transit District Subject: Transit Square Footage Analysis BACKGROUND The question has been posed by the oversight committee concerning the prop square footage for transit functions at Courthouse Square, relative to the pres facilities and space needs. In the words of the committee's interim report of 1~ "SPOC is concerned that Transit has not demonstrated a need for the amount space it has listed in the program information and has indicated on the plan." The following information is presented with the intent of providing the n~ and to clarify the space needs of the various functions of the District.
