~ COURTHOUSE SQUARE DESIGN TEAM MEETING ' <br />May 15, 1997 <br />Present: Randy Curtis, RG Anderson-Wyckoff, Dave Hays, Curt Pence and Leonard <br />Lodder ' <br />Agenda for today's meeting: <br />1. Status reports <br />2. De-watering issues <br />3. Budget numbers and how we got where we are today <br />Status Reports <br />Project Manager: County has received about 23 requests to have RFP's sent', on the project <br />manager's position. Proposals are due on Monday, May 19'~. We are still lookiing at June 1 to <br />bring a project manager on board. Ra.ndy and RG have meeting scheduled I~ for Friday on <br />selection process. The field will be narrowed down to a short list. Our goal v~till be to fmd a <br />person that both the architect and the general contractor can work with. Pr4posals will be <br />opened Monday at 3 p.m. We will generate a list of proposals and get a copy to the architect <br />and the general contractor. <br />~ Tenant Vacancy of building: The last tenant seems to have vacated the apa.rt~ent, however, <br />County is starting evictions proceeding tomorrow to put steps in motion. <br />Abatement: This process is nearing completion. <br />Demolition: This phase will be starting next Thursday, the 22"d with equipmen~ being brought <br />on site. County has verbally been told that they will be complete with their work ~nd off the site <br />by first week in August. This should not create any problems unless contractor;needs to be on <br />site earlier. We will do a check on July 1 of schedules to make sure we are still ori target. <br />Budget: Randy & RG have been working on developing and refining budget nu~bers. We will <br />discuss this in more detail later in the meeting. ' <br />Transit report: RG reported that we expect to close escrow at end of month pn the Senator <br />block property, either the 28`~ or 29'~. Federal funds are in the bank. Transit h~s paid all bills <br />received from both the architect and general contractor. We are now on top of thlings and it the <br />payments will proceed on schedule. <br />Architect report: Leonard reported that work is progressing with documents. V~i~e will start to <br />escalate our work from this point on. We have made significant improvem~nts in project <br />design and need to work with Dave so he has the latest information to calculate hi~' numbers. <br />~ It will be important to have periodic meetings with both the architect and contra~tor during the <br />week outside of the regular design team meeting for specific items when quest~ons come up. <br />
