~ COURTHOUSE SQUARE DESIGN TEAM MEETING ' May 15, 1997 Present: Randy Curtis, RG Anderson-Wyckoff, Dave Hays, Curt Pence and Leonard Lodder ' Agenda for today's meeting: 1. Status reports 2. De-watering issues 3. Budget numbers and how we got where we are today Status Reports Project Manager: County has received about 23 requests to have RFP's sent', on the project manager's position. Proposals are due on Monday, May 19'~. We are still lookiing at June 1 to bring a project manager on board. Ra.ndy and RG have meeting scheduled I~ for Friday on selection process. The field will be narrowed down to a short list. Our goal v~till be to fmd a person that both the architect and the general contractor can work with. Pr4posals will be opened Monday at 3 p.m. We will generate a list of proposals and get a copy to the architect and the general contractor. ~ Tenant Vacancy of building: The last tenant seems to have vacated the apa.rt~ent, however, County is starting evictions proceeding tomorrow to put steps in motion. Abatement: This process is nearing completion. Demolition: This phase will be starting next Thursday, the 22"d with equipmen~ being brought on site. County has verbally been told that they will be complete with their work ~nd off the site by first week in August. This should not create any problems unless contractor;needs to be on site earlier. We will do a check on July 1 of schedules to make sure we are still ori target. Budget: Randy & RG have been working on developing and refining budget nu~bers. We will discuss this in more detail later in the meeting. ' Transit report: RG reported that we expect to close escrow at end of month pn the Senator block property, either the 28`~ or 29'~. Federal funds are in the bank. Transit h~s paid all bills received from both the architect and general contractor. We are now on top of thlings and it the payments will proceed on schedule. Architect report: Leonard reported that work is progressing with documents. V~i~e will start to escalate our work from this point on. We have made significant improvem~nts in project design and need to work with Dave so he has the latest information to calculate hi~' numbers. ~ It will be important to have periodic meetings with both the architect and contra~tor during the week outside of the regular design team meeting for specific items when quest~ons come up.
