ONGOING ISSUES
~r Parking
7-10 Leonard has done a preliminary layout of P1. He has laid out two scenarios with stall
counts at 369 (option 1) and 372 (option 2). The City conveyed mixed signals regarding
the concept of expanding under the sidewalk. ACTION: Mike Hayford to review
revised designs to determine impact on structural. Dave to price cost of revised plans.
Randy and R.G. to meet with the City to begin work on obtaining revocable sidewalk
permit. Ron to send Leonard detail on RDP tree well .
Acoustical / Vibration
6-27 MMDC recommended that we bring on an acoustical consultant to assist in addressing
sound isolation issues. MMDC has contacted Russ Altermatt and Associates. Russ can
prepare a budget after reviewing structural and architectural plans. ACTION: MMDC
will contact Russ to request a proposal. Rev. 7-3 MMDC to transmit plans to Russ and
discuss scope of proposal.
Permitting
7-10 Leonard met with the City to discuss code issues. Leonard discussed two potential issues
identified by the City. 1) exiting into a service area from the SE corner stairwe112)
limiting the roof garden to strictly an ancillary use of the meeting azea. He indicated that
the City would probably require a written acknowledgement of the limitations on its use.
~ Leonard also indicated that review for issuance of the foundation permit is approximately
eight weeks.
6-27 Craig expressed a concern with adequate budget coverage of permits and fees. The team
discussed some specific permit and fees, e.g. sewer and water hookup, traffic impact,
building permits, etc. Dave indicated that Kevin Newland from his office would be
meeting with the city to gather additional permit and fee information. Craig would like to
have Rick Williams attend. ACTION: Dave and Leonard will do additional permit and
fee research. Rick and Kevin will set a time to meet with the city. Rev. 7-10 Dave and
Leonard will forward any existing paperwork relating to permits or fees to MMDC.
Environmental ~
7-3 The group discussed approaches for removing contaminated soils. Remove prior to mass
excavation or as a part of. Pence / Kelly has no money in the budget for hauling or
treating contaminated soil. Randy was concerned about slowdown in project in order to
deal with soil. ACTION: Kathleen will attempt to quantify dollars involved with
removing contaminated dirt. Dave will attempt to quantify schedule impacts. Rev. 7-10
It was decided that the probable best approach is to clean the site prior to mass
excavation. Staton to develop price to remove contaminated soils by 7-24.
Dewatering
7-10 If P 2 is no longer being considered, Mike H. does not require the completed GRI drilling
report.
