Finance Team Meeting Summary June 11, 1998 Present: Billy Wasson, R.G. Andersen-Wyckoff, Tom Wolfgram, Elyn Lyon, Mike Hansen, Craig Lewis, Dan Petrusich, Ra1ph Grim, Jeff Davis, Sheryl Derting. Agenda: 1. Review status of remediation costs. . Overall status of expense. . Transit assumption of paying agent. . Other business. Review status of remediation costs. Sheryl handed out copies of the most current overall CH2 budget, along with the review sheets from Elyn Lyon and Dave Hartwig regarding the costs for remediation and demolition. It was determined that the time has come to break the bills down individually between Transit and the County for remediation, demolition and abatement. It was also noted that the three county purchased properties should also be listed separately for accounting purposes. Billy stated that Century West had given a presenta.tion eazlier and they were at approximately $512,000, which includes FOSS, Transportation of soils and dumping costs. Elyn will call a subcommittee meeting to review the bills. Their first meeting will be prior to the ne~ Finance Team meeting. Members will include: Ra.ndy Curtis, R.G. Andersen-Wyckoff, Elyn Lyon, and Tom Wolfgram. Management needs to define the cost breakdown assumptions between Transit and the County, and the Century West representative will need to define any billings that are uncleaz as to category. Mike Hansen stated we need to consider whether the clean soil hauled away that would have had to be excavated anyway for the project would partially fall under Transit paying assumptions. R.G. stated it would not. Mike said we need to be very clear on what assumptions we are working under as we break down these bills. There is still work pending. Century West needs to drill test holes for about $7,900, there will be about $2,000 for Bazker to re-survey, and we still have DEQ review costs. Elyn will do work orders for these as needed. R.G. stated that geotechnical soil testing for load bearing is a shared expense (42%), but that soil testing for remediation is not shared. Dan wanted to make sure Barker uses geotech software when they do their work so it can be easily used by Melvin Mazk. Craig will contact Leona.rd Lodder to ensure this. It was agreed that before any new contracts are issued that the percentage split between Transit and the County be written on the contract, even if one party pays all. A copy of all contracts need to be sent to Tom for the main file.
