Salem Area Mass Transit District/Marion County IFB 00-03 12 TAB Services 2) SEQUENCING WITH COMMISSIONING AGENT • A prebalancing meeting shall be conducted four weeks prior to start of balancing between commissioning agent, control contractor and balancing firm. • Begin testing, adjusting and balancing of systems after Prefunctional Check/Start-up Plans are certified by the Commissioning Agent. • Balancing Contractor shall perform work under this section within four (4) weeks from certification of the first Prefunctional Check/Start-up Plan or a minimum of two (2) weeks from the certification of any single Prefunctional Check/Start-up Plan. If, at any time, a condition is discovered which prevents continuation of testing, adjusting and balancing work for a given system, the balancing contractor will promptly notify the Commissioning Agent, and two (2) week allowance shall be halted until written direction is received from the Architect that the condition is corrected. If complete rebalancing is required, the full three (3) week allowance shall be provided. PRODUCTS 2) PATCHING MATERIALS • Ductwork and Housings: Use plastic plugs with retainers to patch drilled holes. 2) INSTRUMENTS Utilize test instruments and equipment as recommended in the following: • NEBB's Procedural Standards for Testing, Adjusting and Balancing of Environmental Systems. • AABC's Manual NM-1, "AABC National Standards." EXECUTION 2) VERIFICATION OF CONDITIONS Do not proceed with testing, adjusting and balancing work until work has been completed and is operable. Do not proceed until work scheduled for testing, adjusting and balancing is clean and free from debris, dirt and discarded building materials. Verify the following: • Equipment is operable and in a safe and normal condition. • Temperature control systems are installed complete and operable. • Final filters are clean and in place. • Duct systems are clean of debris. • Correct fan rotation.
