for the relocation by MCHA from the 3`d floor to the 5`" floor. This will give MCHA the
expansion space needed, as well as the much needed access to the central lobby which is
~'" required due to MCHA's high volume of client traffic. Solid Waste does not have a high
volume of client traffic, therefore, does not require access to the central lobby. Solid
Waste can relocate to vacant space on the 5`h floor that is currently unallocated. Their
allocated square footage increases to 6,041 sf. This will leave approximately 3,800 sf of
unallocated space on the Sth floor for expansion.
8. Legal Counsel has requested that re-lites be added to 4 offices.
Explanation: Legal Counsel has a number of interior working spaces. Installing re-lites
in the enclosed offices along the north wall would allow more natural light to enter the
interior work space. It should be noted that natural light will enter the work areas from a
bay window on the west end of the office. Legal Counsel has offered to pay for the added
expenses out of their budget
9. Add re-lites to the Assessor's Office:
Explanation: The Assessor has requested adding 5 re-lites to enclosed offices. The
managers are the only staff with enclosed offices. They frequently hold confidential
meetings and conference calls. The re-lites will allow the door to be closed for privacy
while permitting staff to see into the office without having to knock and disturb the
meeting. It allows the manager to see that someone needs his/her attention and make a
determination if an interruption is necessary. It also allows natural lighting to flow into
the interior office spaces. The Assessor has indicated a willingness to pay for the re-lites
from their budget if necessary.
