Norwest Bank Trustee Operations:
The core trust systems cunently supporting account and portfolio management, compliance monitoring
and payment/security processing are: SEI Trust 3000, BondMaster and AccountControl. Each system is
described below:
SEI Trust 3000
The challenges of the Year 2000 brought Norwest to the crossroads of deciding whether to upgrade its
existing COMPASS system or to purchase a new system in order to meet the complex challenges relating
to processing and electronic data delivery. Ultimately, the decision was made to purchase SEPs Trust
3000 system, a core trust accounting system that meets Year 2000 operating requirements and offers
flexible system solutions to all Norwest trust businesses.
SEI offers an open architecture technology which is designed to allow us to link trust data with other
client databases, creating a consolidated "data warehouse." This consolidated view of information will
enhance overall client service and improve productivity. SEI Trust 3000 is a real-time processing
system. This allows us to see up-to-the-minute cash and security balances in all trust accounts.
Information on today's settlements, income payments, and scheduled disbursements will be available first
thing each morning. All other activity will appear as it posts. The SEI Trust 3000 system was fully
implemented on 1 August 1998.
BONDMASTER
Bondmaster, supporting over 70% of the top 100 banks in the US, is the paying agenthegistrar system
used by Norwest. The features of this on-line, real-time data capture and retrieval system includes; full
transfer processing, tax reporting, holder reporting, principal and interest payment and bond call
processing. Norwest receives updates for the system periodically throughout the year.
AccountControl Management System
Corporate Trust Services utilizes a corporate trust database management system from AccountControl
Technologies to assist the Account Team in the compliance and risk management tasks of a customer
portfolio. AccountControl is well equipped to handle the specific requirements of a portfolio,
incorporating compliance tracking along with on-going database needs for each issue. For example,
AccountControl is designed to track payments and generate reports outlined within the financing structure
of the issue or the governing documents, at the Obligor, Resolution or Borrower level. Further, the
Account Team receives the benefit of automated account monitoring to ensure integrity within complex
cash flow structures or multi-faceted debt structures.
All of our reporting formats can be modi~ed through the use of Norwest ACCESS to accommodate a
variety of special reporting needs that the Trust may have related to this assignment. For further
information about Norwest ACCESS, please see question 4 of this section.
The Account Team:
Doreen Rowe Tel: 612.667.0189
Senior Manager/Asst. Vice President Fax: 612.667.9825
Julie Bosveld Tel: 612.667.9730
Account Representative Fax:612.667.9825
For Personal Profiles, please see the end of this RFP.
