THIS PLAN REVIEW was completed by RLM CONSULTING SERVICES ACTIVITY NO, 98-08257 CONDITIONS REQUIRED: 1. LOT DRAINAGE. Lots shall be provided with adequate drainage and shall be graded so as to drain surface water away from foundation walls. The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. within the first 10 ff. Where lot lines, walls or other physical barriers prohibit 6" of fall within 10 feet, drains or other approved means shall be provided to ensure positive drainage. [Sec. 401.3] 2. GUSSETS. The connection of the post to the beams shall be gusseted. The bottom of the post shall be restrained to prevent lateral displacement on all columns over 4 feet in length. Ask your inspector about approved restraining methods. [Sec. 408.3] 3. ATTIC VENTS. Provide screened attic vents with a net frae araa of 1/150 of the attic area. (or 1/300 if betWeen 50 and 80% of raquired area is ventilators in the upper portion of the attic and located at least 3 feet above eave or cornice vents. As an alternative, install a 4 mil vapor barrier on the warm side of the ceiling. [Sec. 806.2]. 4. RAFTERS shall be nailed to ceiling joists to form a continuous tie between exterior walls where joist are parallel to the rafters. Where not parallel, rafters shall be tied with a rafter tie, located at or near the plate as practical. Ratter ties shall be spaced not mora than 4 feet on center. Rafters shall be framed to ridge board or to each other with gusset plate as a tie. [Sec. 802.3] 5. TRUSS DESIGN (SITE BUILT). Roof trusses ara requirad to be designed by an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the design and ~ayout drawings available at the construction site for the fraroing inspection. All job site cutting or modification of the roof trusses shall be dearly shown in the engineer's design calculations and drawings. If trusses ara to be buitt at the job site, submit the engineer's design and construction plans to the Marion County Building Department prior to start of construction and have the approved drawings available at the site for the framing inspection.
