THIS PLAN REVIEW was completed by RLM CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> <br />ACTIVITY NO, 98-08257 <br /> <br />CONDITIONS REQUIRED: <br /> <br />1. LOT DRAINAGE. Lots shall be provided with adequate drainage and shall be graded so as to <br />drain surface water away from foundation walls. The grade away from foundation walls shall fall <br />a minimum of 6 in. within the first 10 ff. Where lot lines, walls or other physical barriers prohibit <br />6" of fall within 10 feet, drains or other approved means shall be provided to ensure positive <br />drainage. [Sec. 401.3] <br /> <br />2. GUSSETS. The connection of the post to the beams shall be gusseted. The bottom of the <br />post shall be restrained to prevent lateral displacement on all columns over 4 feet in length. Ask <br />your inspector about approved restraining methods. [Sec. 408.3] <br /> <br />3. ATTIC VENTS. Provide screened attic vents with a net frae araa of 1/150 of the attic area. <br />(or 1/300 if betWeen 50 and 80% of raquired area is ventilators in the upper portion of the attic <br />and located at least 3 feet above eave or cornice vents. As an alternative, install a 4 mil vapor <br />barrier on the warm side of the ceiling. [Sec. 806.2]. <br /> <br />4. RAFTERS shall be nailed to ceiling joists to form a continuous tie between exterior walls <br />where joist are parallel to the rafters. Where not parallel, rafters shall be tied with a rafter tie, <br />located at or near the plate as practical. Ratter ties shall be spaced not mora than 4 feet on <br />center. Rafters shall be framed to ridge board or to each other with gusset plate as a tie. [Sec. <br />802.3] <br /> <br />5. TRUSS DESIGN (SITE BUILT). Roof trusses ara requirad to be designed by an Oregon <br />registered Engineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, <br />have the design and ~ayout drawings available at the construction site for the fraroing inspection. <br />All job site cutting or modification of the roof trusses shall be dearly shown in the engineer's <br />design calculations and drawings. If trusses ara to be buitt at the job site, submit the engineer's <br />design and construction plans to the Marion County Building Department prior to start of <br />construction and have the approved drawings available at the site for the framing inspection. <br /> <br /> <br />
