See the attached "Sand Filter <br />System Requirements for Plans". Two sets of plans for the <br />system must be submitted at the time of application for the <br />installation permit, <br />A CAPPING FILL DRAINFIELD IS REQUIRED in conjunction with <br />the septic system approval, See the attached "CAPPING FILL" <br />information sheet for instructions. <br />CAPPING FILL systems are installed in soils where a layer <br />that limits the effective soild depth or a water table is <br />present in the soil profile at a depth shallower than <br />allowed for a standard system, The drainfield is installed a <br />at a very shallow depth and fill is placed over the field to <br />~rovide the earth cover over the system, CAPPING FILL <br />YSTEMS MAY ONLY BE INSTALLED FROM JUNE 1 AND OCTOBER 1 or <br />during such times when Building Inspection staff finds soil <br />moisture conditions acceptable.
