The <br /> maximum stair rise is 8 1/4 inches. When risers are <br /> closed, all treads may have a uniform projection not to <br /> exceed 1 and 1/2 inches. The greatest riser height shall <br /> ~ not exceed the smallest by more than 3/8 inch. ~R-213.1) <br /> 9..Handrails meeting the following requirements shall be <br /> provided, on at least one side of s~airways.
