The proposed water treatment facility does not create fumes or other discharges that can be absorbed in the <br />air. As previously mentioned, this treatment facility already exists on the subject parcel, with no known <br />adverse effect on air or water quality. If a new sanitary sewer system is required for this project, it will be <br />managed by the East Salem Sanitary Sewer Service District and the City of Salem, as annexation is required <br />for new sanitary sewer connections. This new system will adhere to the standards outlined in the city’s <br />Wastewater Management Master Plan and the Public Works Design Standards. These standards ensure <br />adequate measures for managing the air and water quality at the proposed facility. The criterion is met. <br /> <br />(e) Adequate public and utility facilities and services to serve the use are available or will be made available <br />prior to establishment of the use. <br /> <br />The area is served by the City of Salem utilities and Marion County Fire District No.1. The criterion is met. <br /> <br /> <br />8.
