July 6, 1994

APPLICANT:
SITE NUMBER:

LYON & ASSOGIATES
94-2224,

Your site has been found suitable for a SAND FI~%~R ALTERNATIVE SEWAGE
DISPOSAL SYSTEM. The following COnStruction ~peeifications shall apply to the
installation of your septic system.

1. The septic tank shall hays a minimum liquid capacity of ~O0O
gallons.

The projected daily sewage ~low {et %his pro~ect is Calculated at
450 ~allons Der day. Based on soil conditions observed on this
si~e, the disposal field will he sised at 45 lineal feet peT 250
g~0n~ of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 135 lineal
feet Of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop-
meet. The disposal trenches are ¢onstruoted two (2) feet wide and
on minimum ~en (10) foe~ cen~ers and wi~h no line exceeding 125
feet in length. The trenche~ and pe~£o~ated pipe are installed
level (~1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface.

3. The disposal field shalA be SOns~ru~ted with serial distribution
wfth a minimum trensh depth of 12 inches and a maKimum trench
depth of ~ inches. There must De at least ~ of bs¢~flll
over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground
surface.

4. The sand ~ilter system shall be designed and operated as per OAR
~40-?1-290 through 340-71-30~- Detailed plans for the ~y~tam must
be submitted prior to permit iss~an=s. A building per,it is
required if a site built concrete box is used as the sand fllte~
container. A pamphlet is available in our office which details the
requirements for a sand fl~ter system.

capping fill is required with this system. The system shall be
as indicated on the attached Capping Fill construction detail

A
co, Strutted
sheet.

An effluent ~ift pump m~y be ~eeessary to construct the disposal field
in the approved area and at the correct depth.

This approval is site specific t~ ~he area tested a~d the septic system
must be 1neared in the i~ediate ar~a of the test pits umless otherwise autho-
rized by this office. A new site ~valuation may b~ required if the system is
proposed for a different a~ea on the property.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS;
eenstruct the drainfields within the immediate area of the upper
(northerly) two test pits. Soil conditions are marginal. Usa care not to
alter the natural topsoil prior to drainfield construction. Note, the
shallow del~th of the drainline trenches. The sand filter migh~ be
elevated to achieve gravity ~low into the shallow trenches. A precon-
struction field stak~ou~ is recommended to establish the elevations and
locations of the individual drain~iel~ lines of both systems. The
capping ~ill part of the installation is limited to t~e dry soil summer
season. Refer tO the capping fill installation requirements for add-
itional information.
