Marsh 3, 1994 APPLICANT: K~VIN MILLS SITE NUMbeR: 94-823 PLA NT SY TEM Your si~e has been found suitable for a SAND FILTER ALTERNATIVE ~EWAGE DIS~0SAL SYSTEM. THe following construction specifications shall apply to the installation of yo~r septic system. 1. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000 gallons. 2. The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at 450 gallons O~r day. Based on soil oenditioDs observed on this site, the disposal field will be sized at ~5 llne~ feet /0~ 150 alga!~_9_q~ of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 13S ling. a__l feet of disposal field will be required for your propose~ develop- ment. The disposal trench~s are constructed tWO (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with ~e line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (±1") and contour~ to follow the natural ground surface- The disl~al field shall ~e const~/cted with ~rial di~t~ibu~ion with a minimum trench depth of 24 inches and a maximum trench depth of 36 &~ches. There must be at least 12.....~nch~s of backfill over the top of the g~avel, measured from the natural ground surface. The sand filter system shall b~ designed and operated as per OAR 340-71-290 through 340-71-305. Detailed plans for the system must be submitted p~ior to perr~it issuance. A building permit is required if a site built concrete box is used SS the sand filter container. A pamphlet is available in Our office which details the requirements for a sand filter system. This approval i~ site s~ecific to the area tested and the septic system must be located in the i~ediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- rized by this office. A Dew site evaluation may b~ requi~ed if the ~y~tem is proposed for a different area on the property. SPECIAL CONDITIONS~ A pre-ceOstruction field stakeout is recommended to establish =he locations and elevations of :he individual d~ainfield lines and to ensure the lower sand filter drainfield can meet the required twenty- five feet setback ~rc~n downslope cuts and ditches.
