SAND F!~L'~'h~% SYSTEM CONS~UCTION D~TAIL S~IEET July 29, 1993 APPLICANT: SITE ND~BER: City of Aurora 93-018~5 FUTURE REpLAC~I~NT SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS Your sit~ has been found suitable fer a SAND FILTER ALTERNATIVE SEWAG~ DISPOSAL SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installation of your septic system. 1. The septis tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1500 gallons. The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at ~D0 ~allons Der day. Based on soil conditions obseNved on this site, the disposal field will be sized at 75 lineal f~t Der 15~ ~allons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum Of ~ fee~ of disposal field will be required for your proposed d~velop- ment. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot oesters and with no line exceeding 125 f~et in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (~1") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface. The disposal field shall be constructed with ~RIAL distribution with a minimum trench depth of ~ and a maximum trench depth of 42 inches. S~epage t~enohes shall b~ utilized with 24 inches of gravel in the trench. There must be at least 12 of backfill over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground surface. The sand filter system shall b~ designed and operated as per OAR 340-71-290 through 340-71-30~. Detailed plans for the system must be submitted prior ~0 pez~ait issuance. A building permit is required if a sits built concrete bo~ is used as the sand filtur container. A pamphlet is available in our office which details the requirements for a sand filter system~ This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unle~ otherwise autho- rized by this office.
