The following construction specifications shall apply to the
installation of your septic system.
The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000
gallons~
The projected daily sewage flow for this project is calculated at
4~0 ~allons Der day. Eased on soil conditions observed on %his
site, the disposal field will be sized at 50....lineal ~eet per
~allons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 150
£~et of disposal field will be required for your propose~ develop-
men----~. The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) fe~t wide and
on minimum ten (10) foot cente=s and with nO line exceeding 125
feet in length. Thc trenches and perforated pipe are installed
l~vel (zl") and contoured to follow the natural greund surface,

3. The disposal field shall be constructed with seridistribution
with a minimum trench depth of 2~ ~nches and a maximum trench
depth of 24 in~, There must be at least 12 inche~ ef backfill
over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground
surface.

4. The sand filter system ~hall be designed and operated as per OAR
340-71-~90 through 340-71-305. Detailed plans for the system must
be submitted prior to permit issuance. A building permit is
required if a site built concrete box is used as the sand filter
container. A pamphlet is available in OU~ office which details the
requirements for a sand filter system.

A groundwater interceptor is required es part of this system. This
interceptor trench must be constructed a minimum twelve (12) inches wide by 36
inches deep with 30 inches of clean gravel placed eve= a four (4) inch smooth
wall perforated pipe. The interceptor must be located a~ least ten (10) feet
upslope from the disposal field and must discharge through a watertight, non-
perforated pip~ beside or below th~ disposal field, A separation of 2~ feet is
r~quired from the septic tank if the tank is le=ated upslope of the groundwa-
ter interceptor.

This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system
must be located in the i~ediete area of the test pits unless otherwise autho-
rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system
proposed for a different area On the p~operty.

SPeCIaL CONDITIONS=
This drainfield should be constructed as far up SlOpe as possible within
the area of the soil test pits. There is a moderate rock hazard associ-
ated with dralnfield censtruction, Rock larger than six inches must be
removed from backfill material. Refer to the enclosed setback list which
outlines minimum separation distances between cemponents of septic
systems and other features. Soil uonditions are marginal for drainfield

THIS IS NO~ A p~RMI~, ~.,,,,.,~a?~- ~E ~E~TIC,SYSTEM.
