I have completed the soil investigation of the above decribed property in preparation of an application £or a variance sub- surface sewage disposal system as authorized in OAR 340, 75- O15 adopted September 1975. The site of the proposed variance disposal system is underlain by a somewhat poorly drained terrace soil developed on silty alluvium. The apparent texture and enginaering o lass is silt loam ML, A~ over silty clay loam ML-CL-A6 over a brittle silt loam ML, A~. The depth to distinct mottles of chromos less than two which is indicative of winter perched groundwater ranges between 15" and 18". The slope is less than 1% to the Northwest. · .... The following proposed construction is to be included in the completed variance application form. The site of the proposed drainfteld (130' X 80') is to be plowed or turn,tiled ~o break up the vegetation ma~. A single lift of 12" of locally derlved silt loam top soil (taken not deeper then 12") will be placed on the prepared site. A volume of 400 cubic yards of fill will be required. Into this 12" capping fill, 6, 100' equal trenches 2' wide and 2~" deep (1~" into natural grade) will be installed. Following inspection for grade and depth, the site will be backfield, finish graded and planted to perennial fesque grass. The shallow installation (12." into natural grade) will place ~he sidewall absorption area above ~he temporary perched ground~ water or in contact with the more permeable A soil horizon. The sapping fill will extend 15' on elthe~ side of the disposal trenches. The slope is so slight the hazard of downalope breakout is reduced. 752~ $.E.
