The thermocouples at positions 24 and 25 were attached to the reinforcing steel in the assembly. Number 24 was attached to the vertical rebar and number 25 was attached to the horizontal rebar. The maximum temperatures recorded at 240 minutes (°F) were: Thermocouple Maximum Position Temperature Temperature Rise 22 105 38 24 354 287 25 303 236 Hose Stream Test: The hose stream test was conducted in accordance with 510.3, Optional Program. This option permits conductance of the hose stream test immediately following the expiration of the fire endurance test, thereby eliminating the necessity of testing an additional wall assembly for half the endurance classification being sought. The conditions of the hose stream test were in accordance with Section 10, Table 1. The test wall withstood the hose stream test. CONCLUSIONS The following conclusions represent the judgement of Commercial Testing Company based on the results of this test. The test results apply only to the assembly tested and are not necessarily indicative of results which may be obtained on apparent identical or similar materials and/or construction techniques. Fire Resistance: The assembly maintained its structural integrity throughout the test period. Passage of flames and hot gases through the assembly were not sufficient to ignite cotton waste fibers. The temperature rise on the unexposed surface did not exceed permissible temperature limitations imposed by the test method. The assembly withstood the hose stream test with no projections of water through the unexposed face. Fire Resistance Rating: It is concluded that the wall assembly covered by this test report, when constructed of the materials and in the manner described herein, has a Fire Resistance Rating of 4 hours. tioLlak,e COMMERCIAL !
