''~t:'~': <br /> <br />SE, Aumsville <br /> <br />Footnotes for Table No. R-402.10~ <br /> <br />1 Foundations wall panels braced same as story above. <br />2 Where structural sheathing is used, each braced panel must be at least 48 <br /> inches in width. <br />3 Structural sheathing and let-in bracing shall be located at each end or as <br /> near thereto as possible. <br /> <br />Any braced wall panel required by Section R-402.10 may be replaced by an <br />alternate braced wall panel constructed in accordance with the <br />following: <br /> <br />In one-story buildings, each panel shall have a length of not less than <br />2 feet 8 inches. Each panel shall be sheathed on one face with 3/8 inch <br />minimum thickness plywood sheathing and blocked at all plywood edges <br />with nominal 2 inch material. Each panel end stud shall be provided <br />with a tie-down device capable of providing an approved uplift capacity <br />of not less than 1800 pounds. Two anchor bolts shall be provided in <br />each panel. Anchor bolts shall be placed approximately at panel quarter <br />points. The panels shall be supported directly on a foundation or on <br />floor framing supported directly on a foundation or footing not less <br />than 10 feet in length and centered under the panel. The foundation <br />shall be reinforced with not less than one #4 bar top and bottom. <br />Foundation walls shall be tied to footings by not less than #4 vertical <br />bars at 24" o.c. <br /> <br />See the attached detail sheet for the construction of the alternate <br />braced panel required on the front wall of the garage. <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the <br />dwelling code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />sf <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
