11972 Steinkamp Rd. <br />94-04795 (60487) <br />January 5, 1995 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />SE~ Aumsville <br /> <br />Marion County <br /> <br />OREGON <br />~OMMUNJTY DEVELOPMENT <br />DEPARTMENI' <br /> <br />FiLE <br /> <br />Building Inspection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1993 Edition One and Two Fa~aily Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />A copy of approved plans shall be kept on the site of the building or <br />work at the time of inspection. (R-ii1.2) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />Footings shall extend not less than 12 in. below the finish natural <br />grade. (R-303) <br /> <br />Foundation walls shall extend at least 8 in. above the finished grade to <br />the foundation at all points. (R-304.2) (6 in. where pressure treated <br />sill plates are used.) <br /> <br />The foundation and its structural elements shall be capable of <br />accommodating all superimposed live, dead and other loads according to <br />Section R-201 and all lateral loads in accordance with the provisions of <br />the Code and accepted engineering design practice. (R-301.2) <br /> <br />A keyway in the footing is an acceptable method and will transfer the <br />lateral loads, provide a 18 inch long No. 3 dowels extending 12 inches <br />from the footing into the wall, 4 feet on center or the footing and <br />stemwall in one pour (monolithically). <br /> <br />Maintain a minimum of six feet between the dwelling and the new garage <br />or additional requirements on the garage will be required. <br /> <br />Exterior and foundation wall panels of frame construction shall be <br />braced with approved structural sheathing or 1-inch by 4-inch let in <br />braces. Structural sheathing and 1-inch by 4-inch let-in braces shall be <br />installed as per Table No. R-402.10.
