Based on soil conditions observed on this
site, the disposal field will be sized at lB0 lineal feet per 150
qalloR~, of projected daily sewage flow, A minimum of 450 lineal
feet of disposal field will be required for your propose~ develop-
ment, The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and
on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125
feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed
level (il") and contoured to follow the natural ground surface.

The disposal field shall be constructed with serial distribution
with a minimum trench depth of 24 inches and a maximum trench
depth of 24 inches, There must be at least 12 i~ches of backfill
over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground
surface.

A groundwater interceptor is required as part of this system. This
interceptor trench must be constructed a minimum twelve (!2) inches wide by 48
inches deep with 42 inches of clean gravel placed over a four (4) inch smooth
wall perforated pipe. The interceptor must be located at least ten (10) feet
upslope from the disposal field and must discharge through a watertight, non-
perforated pipe beside or below the disposal field. A separation of 15 feet is
required from the septic tank if the tank is located upslope of the groundwa-
ter interceptor.

This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system
must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho-
rized by this office, A new site evaluation may be required if the system is
proposed for a different area on the property.

SPECIA~ CO~rDITIONS:
The original, standard drainfield must be constructed within the
immediate area of the northeasterly test pit. A pre-construction field
stakeout will be necessary to establish the elevations and locations of
the individual drain~ield lines and the location of the curtain drain.
Refer to the stakeout procedure and the setback list for details to
complete the stakeout_ A list of installers who can assist with the
stakeout is included for your convenience. The sand filter drainfield
site is just above the standard drainfield. It too, needs the protection
of an upslope curtain drain, well construction must be deferred, pending
review and approval of the pre-construction field stakeout, soil con-
ditions are marginal for standard system consideration. Use care not to
alter the natural topsoil prior to drainfield construction. Drainfield
installation should be limited to the dry soil, summer season_

THIS IS MOT A PER~{IT TO INSTALL T~E SEPTIC SYSTEM.
