APPLICANT: <br />SITE NUMBER: <br /> <br />SAND FILTER SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION DETAIL SHEET <br /> <br />AI~LN TURNER C/O JAMES HA~SEN <br />94-4042, PARCEL 1, 3.65 ACRES <br /> <br /> Your site has been found suitable for a SAND FILTER ALTERNATIVE SEWAGE <br />DISPOSAL SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the <br />installation of your septic system. <br /> <br />The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000 <br />gallons. <br /> <br />The projected daily sewage flow £or this project is calculated at <br />450 qallons Der d~. Eased on soil conditions observed on this <br />site, the disposal field will be sized at 45 lineal feet pep 150 <br />qallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 134 lineal <br />feet of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop- <br />ment_ The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and <br />on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 <br />feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed <br />level (~1,,) and contoured to follow the natural ground surface- <br /> <br />The disposal field shall be constructed with ecual distribution <br />with a minimum trench depth of 12 inches and a maximum trench <br />depth of 18 inches. There must be at least 16 inches of backfill <br />over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground <br />surface. <br /> <br />The sand £il~er system shall be designed and operated as per OAR <br />340-71-290 through 340-71~305. Detailed plans for the system must <br />be submitted prior to permit issuance. A building permit is <br />required if a site built concrete box is used as the sand filter <br />container. A pamphlet is available in our office which details the <br />requirements for a sand filter system. <br /> <br /> An effluent lift pump may be necessary to construct the disposal field <br />in the approved area and at the correct depth. <br /> <br /> A capping fill is required with this system. The system shall be <br />constructed as indicated on the attached Capping Fill construction detail <br />sheet. <br /> <br /> This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system <br />must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- <br />rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is <br />proposed for a different area on the property. <br /> <br />SPECIAL CONDITIONS: <br /> Construct the drainfields on the south side of Sunnybrook Lane within <br /> the immediate area of the three easterly test pits. Soil conditions are <br /> marginal for the Sand Filter/Capping Fill system_ Use care not to alter <br /> the natural topsoil within =he drainfield sites prior to installation. A <br /> pre-permit field stakeout to establish the locations and elevations of <br /> the individual drainfield lines for both systems is recommended prior to <br /> siting all wells. Refer to the stakeou~ procedurs and the setback list <br /> for details To complete the stakeout. The stakeout should be reviewed by <br /> our office and the drainfield sites confirmed before starting any <br /> <br />THIS IS NOT A PEP~MIT TO INSTALL THE SEPTIC SYSTEM.
