APPLICANT: SITE NUMBER: SAND FILTER SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION DETAIL SHEET AI~LN TURNER C/O JAMES HA~SEN 94-4042, PARCEL 1, 3.65 ACRES Your site has been found suitable for a SAND FILTER ALTERNATIVE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. The following construction specifications shall apply to the installation of your septic system. The septic tank shall have a minimum liquid capacity of 1000 gallons. The projected daily sewage flow £or this project is calculated at 450 qallons Der d~. Eased on soil conditions observed on this site, the disposal field will be sized at 45 lineal feet pep 150 qallons of projected daily sewage flow. A minimum of 134 lineal feet of disposal field will be required for your proposed develop- ment_ The disposal trenches are constructed two (2) feet wide and on minimum ten (10) foot centers and with no line exceeding 125 feet in length. The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (~1,,) and contoured to follow the natural ground surface- The disposal field shall be constructed with ecual distribution with a minimum trench depth of 12 inches and a maximum trench depth of 18 inches. There must be at least 16 inches of backfill over the top of the gravel, measured from the natural ground surface. The sand £il~er system shall be designed and operated as per OAR 340-71-290 through 340-71~305. Detailed plans for the system must be submitted prior to permit issuance. A building permit is required if a site built concrete box is used as the sand filter container. A pamphlet is available in our office which details the requirements for a sand filter system. An effluent lift pump may be necessary to construct the disposal field in the approved area and at the correct depth. A capping fill is required with this system. The system shall be constructed as indicated on the attached Capping Fill construction detail sheet. This approval is site specific to the area tested and the septic system must be located in the immediate area of the test pits unless otherwise autho- rized by this office. A new site evaluation may be required if the system is proposed for a different area on the property. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Construct the drainfields on the south side of Sunnybrook Lane within the immediate area of the three easterly test pits. Soil conditions are marginal for the Sand Filter/Capping Fill system_ Use care not to alter the natural topsoil within =he drainfield sites prior to installation. A pre-permit field stakeout to establish the locations and elevations of the individual drainfield lines for both systems is recommended prior to siting all wells. Refer to the stakeou~ procedurs and the setback list for details To complete the stakeout. The stakeout should be reviewed by our office and the drainfield sites confirmed before starting any THIS IS NOT A PEP~MIT TO INSTALL THE SEPTIC SYSTEM.
