Plan Review M25-94-2227C <br />Blazer Industries <br /> <br />23. <br /> <br />A 1-perm or less dry cup vapor barrier shall be installed (on the warm side in winter) of all <br />exterior floors and walls of heated residential buildings. In all exterior ceilings without an attic <br />space above, an approved vapor barrier having a 0.5-perm cup rating or less shall be installed. <br />EXCEPTION: Ceilings with ventilated attic space above. 1993 CA-BO 5303(f). <br /> <br />24. <br /> <br />Maximum allowable notching in exterior wails and bearing partitions shall not be more than <br />25 % of the width. In nonbearing walls, the notch shall not exceed 40% of its effective depth, <br />1993 OSSC, Section 2517(g)(8). Bored hole5 in studs shall not be more than 40% of the smd <br />width. Holes equal to 60% of the stud width are allowed in nonbearing walls and bearing walls <br />where the bored smd is doubled. No more than two such successive studs will be allowed. In <br />no case shall the bored hole be closer to the edge than 5/8", 1993 OSSC, Section 2517(g)(9). <br /> <br />25. <br /> <br />Ti-11 Plywood utilized in single-wall construction shall be nailed in accordance with American <br />Plywood Association (APA) nailing specifications with a line of nails - in each vanel edg~. <br />Slant driving a single line of nails at vertical shiplap joints is not permitted. <br /> <br />The plans for the above-indicated new structure are acceptable as submitted subject to the items <br />noted above and the approval of the authority having site jurisdiction. <br /> <br />Exam/ned by: <br /> <br />RtSBE BUCk,S <br />Plans Examiner <br /> <br /> <br />
