The plans submitted do not show all the required code requirements. It <br /> is the applicant/builder's responsibility to comply with all code <br /> requirements whether shown on the plans or not. <br /> <br />A copy of approved plans shall be kept on the site of the building or <br />work at the time of inspection. (R-Ii1.2) <br /> <br />Approved numbers or addresses shall be placed on all buildings in such a <br />position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road <br />fronting the property~ (UFC 10.208) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />Foundation plates shall be bolted to the foundation with minimum <br />1/2 inch diameter by 10 inch anchor bolts embedded at least 7 inches <br />into concrete or reinforced masonry and spaced not more than 6 feet <br />apart with a minimum of 2 bolts per piece with one bolt within 12 inches <br />of the end of each piece. Figure (R-303) <br /> <br />The plans have reduced spacing requirements for the anchor bolts because <br />of the shearwall design of the walls. See the plans for these <br />requirements. <br /> <br />Porches~ balconies or raised floor sarfaces located more than 30 in. <br />above the floor or grade shall have guardrail not less than 36 inches in <br />height. Required guardrail shall have intermediate rails or ornamental <br />closures which will not allow passage of an object 6 in. or more in <br />diameter. Horizontal spacing between the vertical members in required <br />guardrails shall be a maximum of 4 inches at the nearest point between <br />the members. (R-214.2) <br /> <br />The garage shall be completely separated from the residence and its <br />attic area by means of 1/2-inch gypsum board or equivalent applied to <br />the garage side. The door between the garage and residence shall be <br />equipped with solid wood doors not less than 1 3/8 inches in thickness <br />or 20-minute fire rated, or equivalent. (R-209.2) <br /> <br />~eating and cooling appliances located in a garage shall be protected <br />from impact by automobiles. Appliances that generate a glow, spark of <br />flame capable of igniting gasoline vapors located in a garage shall be <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
